INFO

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT
Being a parent at Southside Montessori School means being involved in our school community. Parents are expected, and not merely encouraged, to do their share. The child most likely to benefit from Montessori education is the child whose parents take an active and consistent interest in the school. Directors and parents are co-educators of the children.

Our school is largely run on the voluntary labour and efforts of the parents. In this way parents are brought closer to their child's environment, made aware of the needs of the school, and by participating in fundraising, administration and maintenance, enable costs to be kept down. The school has reached its present standard because of the unselfish efforts of past parents at the school over long periods of time, and it is up to us all to ensure that this will continue.

ENROLMENT
For your child to be considered for a place at the school, you and/or your partner will have attended an open morning and observation, and to have properly completed an application form with payment.

In the case of older applicants and transfers (over 4 years of age), a place will only be offered if there is a vacancy for the age and the sex of the child, there is a definite commitment to the Primary programme and other standard enrolment criteria are satisfied.

OBSERVATION
For enquiries to book an observation morning in your child's class, please contact the office:
